TRY THIS AMAZING BRAAI BREAD TO ACCOMPANY YOUR MEAT.
Tomato and Garlic Braai Bread
Combine 150g softened butter, 4 teaspoons chopped garlic and 2 teaspoons tomato paste and mix well.
Mix together ½ cup sliced and fried mushrooms, ½ can All gold Mediterranean style tomatoes (drained), a handful chopped basil and half cup grated mozzarella. Add some seasoning.
Slice 1 large ciabatta bread, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Spread butter mixture evenly between slices and spoon in tomato mixture.
Scatter another cup of grated mozzarella cheese and some seasoning.
Place on foil, wrap closed and braai over medium coals for 30 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Alternatively, bake in oven at 180C for 15-20 minutes.
Makes 10 slices.
